![]() ![]() This works, only in the caveat that the devs have a realistic turn around time between "reveal trailer" and "early access release" to playable. Give Keen Games their time they need to bring this game into a more stable version for EA. Other games throw their tech demos into EA with tons of (gamebreaking) bugs, that make games literally unplayable. Personally I like the way they do it: Announce it, THAN go into Early Access with a game that actually is playable and enjoyable. Originally posted by Vrakyas:So you're basically saying this game is BS, without actually having played a single minute? I hope that makes sense!Īlso while it might not be exactly what you're looking for, our game will have a playable free demo as part of the Steam Next Fest coming up this October, in case you're eager to get your hands on it! It's not a decision made to trick people out of their money, it's simply something we did to help get news of our game out to potential players who might be interested in it. This is why even though the game has been announced for a while, we still are not taking any kind of pre-orders or payments of any kind. ![]() This kind of word-of-mouth takes a lot of time, so letting people know about the game sooner rather than later was the best move for us. This wasn't done to tease you all, the simple answer is that we're a small studio with a low marketing budget, and viral word-of-mouth marketing is the best way for us to get news of the game out to our players. Not giving a date isn't done out of greed, it's actually the exact opposite, we don't want to make any promises until we are 100% confident it's a promise we can keep. I totally get that you guys want the game as soon as possible, and that's great! But we also don't want to release the game (or make any promises about when we're going to release the game) without first being confident that the game is in a high quality and stable state. But I would like to offer my two cents since it seems to be a very passionate topic for many of you. ![]() I'm going to lock this thread because it keeps getting necrod, and it seems like the discussion is going in circles. ![]()
